Fun with family

This past week was pretty busy. Between Aunt Meri and Uncle Jake visiting, teacher conferences, and everything else life could bring, our plates were full. Tuesday a couple kids and I took Meri and Jake to Cabela's. That's one of their favorite places to go. Our kids love the shooting gallery. Wednesday we went to Raptor Reef, an indoor water park with slides, wavepool, indoor/outdoor hot tub and a kiddy water park.

Rob took Emmy down one of the slides. At the bottom they flipped over and poor Emmy got a little more than she expected...but she recovered quickly.

Saturday we all headed to Albany for Marli's blessing.Everyone gathered at Izzy's for dinner. Brant gave Marli a wonderful blessing. Afterward's we piled into Meri's apartment and took some pics.

Hmmm, new do?

The warmth of yesterday's sun got me thinking that maybe I need a new hair style. So I went browsing online and found this...

although I think that I would have it touching my shoulders. I absolutely love this look but my other half (as well as a couple of friends) say I better not under any circumstances cut off my hair. Partypoopers!

Spring is coming....

Yesterday we had sunshine and some blue sky! Emmy and Spencer had fun on the swings...

and we found some flowers in our yard.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

Yay for dates!

Well, Friday and Saturday ended up being just as crazy as the rest of the week. For some reason the kids had been at each other's throats all week. Saturday we had to take Jessi to the high school for a choir performance at the craft fair there. One of the songs they performed Jessi had learned a couple years ago at one of the other elementary schools. She got to teach the choir the choreography for that song. Then we went aand looked at the crafts. Later I sent Rob a text informing him that we were going on a date. Of course he didn't argue about it because we'll take any time alone together that we can get. So we went out for dinner at a chinese buffet, yum, then we went and saw Taken. This was an awesome end to a not so great week. Love you Rob!

Stress & chocolate

Acouple days ago I realized that my driver's license wasn't where it was supposed to be. It was kind of odd that it was the thing missing from my purse. So I looked everywhere that I thought it could possibly be. Eventually I called the last few businesses that I had gone to the previous day. No luck there. By the end of the day I was totally beside myself because the disappearance did not make any sense in my mind. I said a prayer asking that I would be able to find it soon. The next day I cleaned out the suburban, checked the kids's rooms, took all the cushions off the couch, checked all my jeans' pockets. Still nothing. I was so frustrated that after picking Jess and Lexi up from their activity, I made a detour to the grocery store. I ended up with mint chocolate ice cream, a small bag of peanut M&Ms, and a box of drumsticks. I ate a drumstick and the M&M's, and came to the conclusion that I would have to go to the DMV to get a replacement the next day. As we were getting ready for bed, Rob steps out of the shower and calls for me to come look at something. There standing on end and flat against the side of the tub was my license. It's amazing how one person can look in an area several times and not see what they are looking for, then someone else can come along and spot it right away. I know my prayer was answered and I don't regret eating the chocolate either!

Tonsillectomy

After six months of chronic sore throats, unrestful sleep, fatigue and an abnormal amount of crankiness, Cody is going to have his tonsils removed on April first. This will enable him to have restful sleep by eliminating the sleep apnea. Which will improve his demeanor and he will be our happy healthy Cody again. YAY!
