Beautiful dancers

I was able to talk Rob into putting Lexi,KK,and Emmy in a dance class. It's through our parks & rec division here. The class is 6weeks,ballet/tap, with a day of some modern jazz. The girls are loving it.

.

They will have an informal

recital on July 21st.

Lion's and Tigers and bears,oh my!

Here we are, waiting for the show to begin. Rob & I took our little "circus" to see a real circus. Most of them weren't sure what to expect since the last time we went was about three years ago. I didn't think the performance would last too long, being a Shrine circus, but it lasted a good 2 1/2 hours.I was soooo glad the weather cooperated that day, being that the circus was held outdoors at ou county fairgrounds. I'm just going to post some pics of the kids's fave acts.Cody liked the lions and tigers...

Alexis thought the flexible lady was amazing....

Jessi enjoyed the ladies in the hoops high above the ground andand this guy.

Kaylei, who is into rollerskating these days, loved the couple that did awesome

tricks on skates.
Emily loved the elephants.

And last, but definitely not least, Spencer was totally taken with the cage of death.

There were not 1,not 2 but 3 guys on dirt bikes in the cage!

He thought it was sooo cool.
I just enjoyed being with my family.

A visit with my sisters

This past weekend my sister Meri, sis-in-law Amanda and my little neice Marli (all whom I love so much) came and stayed with us for a few days.

It was so much crazy fun! We took the kids to the Kroc Center. They had a blast swimming like little fish. Even Marli sported a swimsuit.

Sunday we enjoyed visiting and just hanging out. Monday Meri, Amanda, Marli and I snuck out for a while. We walked the boardwalk at Lake CDA. Later we went to a school to let the kids play and to do some metal detecting. We weren't gone long when we had to leave due to a thunderstorm. Tuesday was sad. It was time for our visitors to go back home. We had lots of laughs, stayed up really late and cookies. Can't wait for more good times.

A Milestone

On June 5, 2009 our Jessi graduated from elementary school. The year was filled with ups and downs. Not to mention the boy that had a huge crush on her.
Here she is getting congrats from her teacher, Mr.Wright.

Lexi's mesquito bite

Egg drop

The fifth-graders had an egg drop contest. This brave soul was tethered to the roof of the gym. He dropped some 50-60 creative egg-protection inventions in the 85* heat.
The middle pic is of Jessi's egg hitting the ground.
All that was used was a piece of tempurpedic memory foam.
We're proud to say that her egg survived the fall.

Decisions

After a few lengthy discussions Jessica decided that she wanted to attend
the Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy next fall. She knew
that there would be uniforms and that the school is a college prep school.
The main focus at CCA is academics. Jessica was fine with all of it so
we enrolled her and paid our fees. Last week Jessi
approached me and said that she wasn't sure she was supposed to go to CCA.
I told her to make a choice, pray about that choice and listen for an answer or a feeling.
A few days later she came to me again. Jessi said that she knows that she should go to Woodland, which is the middle school for our attendance zone.
I asked her how she knew this, she replied with," I prayed about going to Woodland and I got a good feeling in my gut." I am so impressed at how
she is making decisions in such a "grown -up" way.
